To gain good cholesterol levels, we have to work positively to lower the level of the LDL or bad cholesterol. This helps to reduce chances of cardio complications.

Adopt a diet that is antioxidant rich
Limit your intake of the manufactured or processed fats
Eat foods containing monounsaturated fat acids (e.g. almonds, avocados, olive oil etc.)

§ Grape fruits : these are very helpful when you want to increase your HDL levels.
§ Apples : these contain pectin substance which is known to regulate the two types of cholesterol levels.
§ Wine or beer and consumption of legumes: these also help in the regulation of both cholesterol levels.
